From a user’s perspective, smartphone apps on iOS, Android and Windows Phone are usually consistent in look, feel and user experience, but never as consistent with their desktop counterpart when it comes to functionality. This is fairly obvious as we, the users, have come to accept it as a reality of current devices. Yet... do we really have to? By the look of Windows 10’s Universal Apps, Microsoft says we don’t.

On Tuesday, January 27th, Apple Inc. published its first quarter report for 2015, in which the company posted a record 74.6 Billion dollars, with a net profit of 18 Billion. Mac Laptops and Desktops continue to grow faster than the PC market as a whole.

Windows 10 is still in active development, but some of the tricks spotted so far seem consistent with the notion that Microsoft is truly listening to feedback and working on implementing many productivity features easier to access and use.
