Smartphone and tablet enthusiasts are going to be very busy with product launches over the next few weeks. Industry leader Apple is scheduled to make a big product announcement on September 12, and its competitors are rushing to unleash their newest models before the anticipated reveal.
On August 29, Apple's bitter rival, Samsung, will be unveiling a product in Berlin, Germany, industry analysts expect that the product will be the Galaxy Note 2, the device that it calls a hybrid of phone and tablet. The tablet line has a new spokeswoman, too. Model Kate Upton has been seen at Samsung events lately.
Soon after, September 5 marks the next big day for technical announcements. Nokia and Microsoft are teaming up presumably to reveal the high-end Lumia smartphone. Later in the day, Motorola is expected to unveil a product of its own, assumed to be its newest smartphone, the Droid Razr HD, which is supposed to play video.
And joining the product-demo action on September 6, Amazon will announce a new product as well. Though nobody knows for sure, industry analysts suggest that it could be the second generation of the Kindle Fire tablet.
It seems that Apple has begun a trend in late summer technical announcements. This makes sense, as it gives the products a few months to roll out and become readily available in time for the holiday buying season.
