PC users got an early treat this week when leaked advertisements for the newest Microsoft operating system, Windows 8, found their way online. The ads were initially leaked by Israeli tech website TechIt, but Microsoft requested that they were taken down. If you'd still like to check them out though, you can see one posted by TechLifeChannel.
Since the new OS represents many changes in user interface from its predecessors, the marketing team at Microsoft aimed to highlight the tools it comes with in its advertising. The final product features a series of quick cuts showing a person's hands using Windows 8 in a variety of situations on both a tablet and desktop.
Many journalists speculate that the company chose to demonstrate someone using the software because several early reviews have criticized it for being less than user-friendly.
Still, lots of PC users are excited to install the new operating system on their custom laptops, believing that Windows 8 will be the best operating system released by the brand so far. Many hardware manufacturers are getting on this bandwagon as well, since several companies are debuting laptop-tablet hybrids following the October 25 release of the OS.
Windows 8 and the tablet hybrids that have been designed to work with it represent a new integration of hardware and software for Microsoft. Most of these feature a touch screen as well as a full keyboard, and almost all of them boast upgraded graphics designed to compete with the impressive screen of the Apple MacBook Pro Retina.
