On Friday, Apple's brand new and highly-anticipated 21.5-inch iMacs launched to the great pleasure of professionals across the entire tech industry. What the company has created is the thinnest computer on the market, and they've managed to make it ultra-powerful too.
It wasn't long before the team at do-it-yourself tech repair site iFixit got their hands on the device and performed one of their famous teardowns, giving the tech community a look under the hood of the new Apple iMac. And they were excited to report that this computer is as gorgeous on the inside as it is from the outside.
One of the things that the teardown revealed was a sizeable heat sink, responsible for keeping the computer from overheating, that appears to account for the majority of the computer's minimal bulk. Overall, inside, it's easy to see a very efficient use of space that enables the computer to be so incredibly thin.
The technicians noted that important elements on the computer such as the hard drive, RAM and CPU are not soldered to the inside of the machine, which means that they can be upgraded and replaced. But since this involves ungluing the screen and removing the logic board, it's not really a project that can be done at home.
Luckily, PortableOne specializes in customized devices, and we can upgrade your iMac to your exact specifications before you even take it home. That way, your brand new beautiful desktop will run even faster than you expected.
And don't forget that we can also handle your laptop or tablet, including the iPad mini. There's nobody better if you're looking for a gorgeous Apple product with the kind of power you can only get from customization.
