Even if you do everything you can to take care of your laptop, accidents inevitably happen. Knowing how to best respond after an accident can make all the difference.

If you happen to spill something on your computer while using it, immediately power down the device entirely. Liquids and electricity are a dangerous combination, so it's crucial to cut off the power supply as soon as possible.

You will then want to open up your computer to allow it to air out. This means keeping the screen up, and even undoing to bottom cover of the computer so the battery can be extensively dried off. The more airflow to your computer, the better.
