Earlier this week, Google released a new version of its Calendar feature, revamped to work more efficiently for users. While the latest iteration of this app is currently only available for the Android, the company released a statement saying that it is working on an update that will be compatible with Apple's current iOS. This means that soon Apple customers will be able to use the new version of Calendar on their iPhones and Macbooks to help keep themselves organized.
Here are a few new ways Google Calendar can make your life a little bit easier:
- Assists: Your Google Calendar will adapt to your preferences over time. This feature can suggest titles, places and people as you begin typing to help save you time when you are manually inputting your upcoming schedule.
- Events from Gmail: One of the best new features of Google Calendar is that it automatically updates with your email address to keep all of your events in order. You no longer have to copy and paste the information into a separate app. Events will even update in real time, say if a flight is delayed or a concert is canceled.
- Schedule view: Google has made more of an effort to make the Calendar pleasing to look at. Your Calendar will now be filled with pictures and maps of your destinations, as well as the activities you will be participating in, no longer feeling like a strict calendar.
