Apple has made no secret of its plans to create a smart watch, which is already being called the iWatch. The only questions left seem to be around what the iWatch will actually look like. Thanks to an analyst at the firm Rosenblatt Securities and a report by AppleInsider, we now have a better idea of the iWatch's appearance, which may be officially unveiled at some point later this year.
According to the analyst Brian Blair, the iWatch is going to have a round face similar to that of a regular watch, although it will likely come with a slimmer build and slightly larger surface, in order to accommodate all of the tasks that it will be programmed to do. Blair's sources have also led him to believe that there will be multiple versions of the device available for sale, some with sapphire displays and some without. All versions will likely come with the same tech features.
Apple is expected to begin production on the iWatch in July, with the goal of creating around 20 million units in the back half of the year. Although it is expected to be released for sale at some point during 2014, it is not currently known where it will fall in the lineup of other devices that Apple currently has coming down the pipeline. As Blair notes, we will just have to wait and see for the official announcement from the tech company.
