Apple has topped the American Customer Satisfaction Index (ASCI) survey for personal computers for the tenth consecutive year. The study gages customer satisfaction ratings of the biggest PC manufacturers to determine which one produces the most positive reactions from users. Apple beat out Dell, Hewlitt-Packard (HP) and Toshiba for the number one rank, posting a total aggregated rating of 87 (out of 100) while HP came in second place at 80.
The ASCI survey for PCs includes customer satisfaction ratings for tablets in addition to customized laptops and desktop computers. Although overall satisfaction with the industry had declined, Apple's score actually improved by one point.
The criteria that were considered in determining the rating included customers' perceptions at the time of buying, perceived quality and value, and reports of malfunctions and other problems once purchased. The survey also takes into account the ease of the buying experience, the design of the device and the ease of operation.
Apple continues to provide significant value to its customers by constantly upgrading the technology found within its tablets and PCs. With each new release of the MacBook Air, MacBook Pro and iPad, the company succeeds in making both hardware and software improvements that give both business and personal users features that simply aren't available from other manufacturers.
If you've been holding out on purchasing a new Apple Mac laptop or desktop, now is the time to take the leap. The company's computers are as well-designed as they've ever been, and you can find all product lines at the PortableOne online store.
