According to a new report from AppleInsider, Apple is going to be releasing a fourth round of beta testing for iOS 8, the newest operating system for Apple's devices. This data is consistent with the tech giant's typical two-week gap between letting test systems out for the general public. The most recent version of iOS 8 was introduced in the first week of July.
While it is not known what new features, if any, are going to be included in the fourth version of the beta testing, it is looking more and more clear what the final version of the product is going to be like when it is finally made available for download this fall. The third version of iOS 8 included new WiFi calling, a new Apple configuration and a whole slew of new apps.
The big news over iOS 8 is that it will have Siri-based controls of household appliances, which will allow people to control their refrigerators, washing machines and dishwashers with the touch of a button. Apple has said that there will be an increased emphasis on health in the new OS, as the company has brought in several third-party developers for the creation of new features that monitor fitness and well-being.
The fourth round of beta testing for iOS 8 will only be available for a select amount of Apple users on Monday, July 21. For everybody else hoping to get the update, you will have to wait until the fall when it is officially launched for the general public.
