Apple has had a busy few months so far in 2014, launching and preparing a host of new products as well as updates on existing electronics. This year has already seen a new generation of the Apple iMac, as well as the beta launch of the new iPhone iOS 8. While it has long been known that the tech giant is going to release the iPhone 6 and iWatch sometime in the fall - likely September or October - there is another device that has already gotten a new release from the company.
On Thursday, June 26, Apple launched a variant of the iPod Touch that was created to make the device more affordable for customers. Like the alternate versions of the iPhone that have been released, the new iPod Touch has a smaller memory capability - it comes with 16 GB instead of the standard 34 and 64 GB models that were already on the market. Because of these changes, the iPod Touch is available for significantly less than what it had previously been selling for.
One of the major differences that users will notice is that there are now two cameras on the device, instead of just one. The new version of the iPod Touch now comes with both a front and back-facing camera. It will also be available in every color that the bigger sizes come in, not being limited to just black or gray like some other Apple devices.
