Everybody knows how frustrating it can be to not remember where your car is parked. We've all been in that situation before - hours after first parking in the lot or garage, you are left to wander around the seemingly endless rows and levels, unable to locate your vehicle. But now Apple is working on a new way to end this problem entirely with the creation of a new app.
According to industry website PatentlyApple, the tech giant recently was approved for a patent from the U.S. government for a feature that would be able to locate a parked car. While it is still being debated whether or not the new app will be included when the iPhone 6 is released in September, experts have listed the details that are now currently known about the project.
Essentially, the feature would store the location of the car when it is fully parked. Sensors in the phone will allow the device to recognize when the car has come to a complete stop and is no longer being driven. The iPhone would then automatically store the GPS location of the automobile for usage later. If you cannot remember where your car is located, simply open the app and allow the GPS to direct you right to the driver's front seat.
This will be a great way to save people a lot of lost time and anger the next time they're at the mall or in a parking garage. If you are in the market for a new Apple device, such as the Macbook Pro or Apple iMac, be sure to shop with PortableOne today!
