Earlier this week, Apple released the latest round of beta testing for iOS 8, which is expected to officially launch for all users sometime in the fall. While there has been intense speculation as to what the latest generation operating system would include, consumers are now starting to get a better idea of how everything is going to look when the final version becomes available. 9to5Mac has included a list of all of the tweaks - big and small - that Apple has made to the fourth round of testing for iOS 8.
Here are a few of the new features customers can be expected to see in iOS 8 come this fall:
- Talk-to-text: Users who have trouble walking and texting at the same time can now use a new Siri-enabled feature talk-to-text. This will allow you to speak directly into your phone, while Siri dictates exactly what you say in either a text message or an email. This will be perfect for those who communicate on the go!
- Text size: If you have ever struggled to read a message or an email on your iPhone, Apple now has a solution to that problem. In addition to being able to control the brightness of the smartphone screen, consumers will now be able to adjust the size of the text, making it either bigger or smaller.
- Tips app: The first three rounds of iOS beta testing included a bug report app, which would allow users to report any problems they were experiencing directly to Apple. This has been replaced with Tips, which will allow people to learn how to better use some of the lesser-known features of their smartphone or tablet.
