Just a few weeks after Apple's newest and cutest product hit shelves, the iPad mini continues to get rave reviews. And now, Mac-enthusiast and tech writer Stewart Wolpin has said that he'd rather use his iPad mini than the full-sized tablet that he once loved so much.
How much does he love it? He says that he's only picked up his iPad 3 once since getting his hands on the smaller tablet.
And, like many others, for Wolpin, the reason he finds himself pulling out the mini so often is portability. The dimensions of this smaller product are such that he can stick it in his coat pocket, and it's so light that he doesn't even feel it.
Rather than being an at-home device that travels easily, the iPad mini is a truly portable tablet. It fits easily in a purse and won't weigh you down after a long walk. The thin chassis means that you can hold it one-handed easily, and you won't have to worry about it taking up too much space if you're reading on the train.
Outside of the portability, Wolpin makes an interesting comparison. He says that the iPad mini is sleeker and lighter than the original, but that it doesn't give up any productivity in the size change. All of the apps still run, and the processor is fast enough to go online using Wi-Fi, he likens it to the difference between an older, brick style cell phone and a new, sleek iPhone.
While it continues to get great reviews, some people are saying that the iPad mini makes a great counterpart for its full-sized predecessor. Whether you're planning to add the mIni to your collection, or replace your full sized tablet with this small wonder, don't forget that PortableOne can customize your tablet to make it even more powerful than it is right out of the box.
