The Apple TV is often marketed as a consumer device, and for good reason. It provides a fantastic home theater solution, allowing you to ditch DVDs and Blu-Ray discs and watch movies, listen to music, and view pictures streamed directly from your Apple Macbook, iPad, or iPhone. It eliminates the annoying mess of cables that sometimes results from the integration of a PC or notebook with a Home Theater setup, and seamless integration with other Apple products makes the Apple TV easy for anyone to use.

But this device is also catching on with businesses looking for a streamlined, simple interface for presentations and demonstrations. The corporate world has been quick to adopt the iPad and iPhone into their company operations, and one of the benefits of these devices is how well they work with the Apple TV.

A recent article on Macworld.com, a website that tracks Apple products, details how Microstrategy, a firm that develops business-intellgence apps, has begun using the Apple TV to conduct presentations with Apple's Keynote software and perform demonstrations of their own products.

"I can just pop into a conference room and share the data from the palm of my hand," said Kerzner, senior vice president of MicroStrategy's mobile division, to Macworld's Joel Mathis. "Why, in order to stream a video from your phone to your TV, would you want to hook up a cable, when you can just push a button and stream it?"

All Apple mobile devices include a capability called Airplay that allows iOS to stream content to an HDTV or HD projector and speakers, in addition to using them as a second display.
