Apple has filed a new patent that would dramatically alter its system of headphones.

Broadcom and Marvell are only two companies mentioned by Apple at the WWDC, but there are many more looking to create the next generation of home automation devices, in an industry expected to be worth as much as 14.4 Trillion dollars.

Apple recently filed a patent for a new version of the iPhone that would be bendable.

With last April’s acquisition of Titan Aerospace, Google has also looked into drone technology as a vehicle to bring broadband Internet to areas of the world where Internet access is non-existent, or severely curbed by local authorities. Facebook has also been investing in similar efforts.
