Biometric security has taken the spotlight since last year, when fingerprint readers have been making their appearance on Microsoft Surface Pro 4 Type covers, as well as on the Microsoft Surface Book, allowing consumers to log into Windows using their fingerprint.

Sources are reporting that the Mac Mini, one of the most brilliant desktops Apple has ever made, and also one of the most neglected, will be introduced, if anything even as a subtle hint, at WWDC 2016.

According to multiple recent reports, originally spotted by MacRumors, the verbiage of an Apple developer FAQ page has shown, for a brief period of time, the second instance of an interesting “typo”, showing “macOS”, instead of OS X. The “error” has been fixed, but considering that this exact same mistake was made once before on a completely different Apple support page, this occurrence is hardly ordinary.

There is something about that Apple retro style: from the beige-colored case, to the air vents, it’s a semi-industrial, raw reminder of how far along computing has come over decades. Alas, when applied to modern-day devices, the result can only be either absolutely awful, or spectacular.
