Citing unknown sources, French news site MacGeneration reports on rumors of a 15inch MacBook Pro and a 27inch iMac announcement, slated for this week, on Wednesday.

In a recent article, we have wondered how likely it could be for Apple to offer 5K resolutions in future MacBook Pro laptops. While 5K is admittedly a long shot, 4K resolution could be a rather attainable goal, in the likely scenario that Apple refreshes its 15 inch MacBook Pro.

If we were to talk about the MacBook Air, or even the new 12 inch MacBook, there would be no justifiable reason for 5K resolution to be available on such tiny displays, especially considering their specs are strictly designed with regular consumers in mind. What about the Macbook Pro?

The ability to add external 4K displays, as well as external hard drives and other devices simultaneously, all the while being able to charge multiple iOS devices, makes this accessory highly desirable, even if you don’t have a 12 inch MacBook, as it eliminates the need for multiple power outlets, on the go.
