Biometric security has taken the spotlight since last year, when fingerprint readers have been making their appearance on Microsoft Surface Pro 4 Type covers, as well as on the Microsoft Surface Book, allowing consumers to log into Windows using their fingerprint.

Yesterday, June 8th 2016, the latest Windows 10 Preview Build was issued to Insiders in the Fast ring. Windows 10 Preview Build 14361 includes a large number of fixes, as well as many visual improvements, and a better user experience throughout the desktop UI.

According to a recent report from the Verge, Microsoft is working on enabling store bought native Xbox games to boot up on Windows PCs, in the same way as they do on the Xbox game console. While more details will be available next week, Microsoft has given out hints about tighter integration between its gaming platform and Windows 10.

According to web tracking company StatCounter, and as reported on Twitter by Microsoft Edge developer David Storey, Windows 10 has gained the majority of users, by an ever so slight margin, over Windows 7.
