What Surface devices to expect at Microsoft’s October 26th Event
Last week, Microsoft has announced its next keynote event, which will take place October 26th in New York City, at 10:00am Eastern, or 7:00am Pacific. The image used in the official blog post on the Windows Blog, features an animated title saying “Imagine what you’ll do”, flipped backwards, running across the outside of a window.
While neither the post, nor the actual livestream page deliver any clue on what the event will be about, we can only imagine that Microsoft will be announcing a number of brand new devices. Some of them may even include a Surface Pro 5, and a highly anticipated Surface Book 2, the latter of which is expected to be a substantially improved version to its predecessor.
Among some of the announcements on which we can only speculate up to this point, there may be a new desktop Surface all-in-one, which Microsoft may have been working on to rival the Apple iMac, and to also begin to close the gaps in the Surface family.
Speaking of which, considering that Microsoft has eliminated its Microsoft Band wearable, and has not released any more information on its plans in regard to smartphones, there is still hope that a Surface Phone might make an appearance, as well as a new line of wearables more appropriately branded under the Surface name.
Live streaming will be likely available via Microsoft Edge, on Windows 10, and via Apple Safari, if accessed from a Mac.
