Samsung gives Microsoft a run for its money with a Surface Book of its own
Back in December 2015, we reported on a story about Samsung working on its own version of Microsoft Surface Pro, following a lead provided by wi-fi.org, where Samsung filed for a wi-fi interoperability certification that applied to a Windows 10 tablet, with codename SM W700.
Two years later, Samsung is announcing a new line of 2-in-1 laptops, called Galaxy Book, running Windows 10.
The two models are respectively 10.6 inches and 12 inches, and are powered by a Core M3, and a Core i5.
The 10.6 inches version supports a native resolution of 1920 x 1280 pixels (TFT), while the 12 inch model’s AMOLED display is capable of 2160 x 1440 pixel resolution.
Here are the full specs:

The design of both tablets seems to borrow from both the Microsoft Surface Pro and the Apple iPad Pro, by featuring a detachable keyboard, which is essentially a hybrid between Microsoft Type Cover and Apple Smart Keyboard cover for the iPad.
The new devices will use S-Pen technology for the stylus, which is expected to make best use of Windows Ink in Windows 10. With this in mind, the Galaxy Book should be an interesting item for its specs, and one worthy of keeping an eye on.
