One reason the iPad Mini 4 makes perfect sense
The iPad Mini 4 didn’t get a whole lot of stage presence during the latest Apple keynote, and yet, it’s one of those products that doesn’t seem to suffer from lack of popularity.
From what we have learned about the 4th iteration of the iPad Mini, it’s not only faster than both iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus, running on a 1.5GHz A8 CPU, it’s also equipped to be much more energy efficient than previous models, even when being powered with a smaller battery.
The display has also seen some substantial improvements, starting from the fusion of the touchscreen and the retina display, which features 44% more saturation and reduces glare by 56% compared to previous models.
Yes, the iPad Mini 4 does not feature 3D touch, nor does it support Apple Pencil, which is, so far, an accessory exclusive to the iPad Pro. With that said, the iPad Mini 4’s size is what makes perfect sense to users who have no need for a large screen, and for whom the iPod Touch just won’t cut it.
Form Factor
At 7.9 inches, the iPad Mini 4’s form factor is a bridge between the iPhone 6S Plus and the iPad Air, and incorporates image quality and performance that can’t be matched, within its form factor, which is why the iPad Mini 4 makes perfect sense to those looking for a small tablet, capable of doubling as both the perfect companion for a MacBook, and a lightweight productivity tool with minimal footprint, when traveling.
As Apple moved onto discontinuing the Apple iPad Mini 3, the iPad Mini 2 is really the only cheaper option within the same form factor, and considering the staggering difference in processing speed, memory and image quality between the iPad Mini 4 and the iPad Mini 2, the former is definitely worth upgrading to.
