Microsoft has just announced the Cadillac version of the Surface Book and Surface Pro
High-end consumers shopping for a Microsoft Surface device, have two more options to choose from, as the most powerful versions of Microsoft Surface Pro and Surface Book, were announced yesterday, in a post by the Microsoft Device Team, on the company’s official blog.
The new versions of the two devices feature 1TB of internal storage, and 6th generation Intel Core i7 processors, as well as 16GB of RAM. Aside from updated internal specs, there is no difference between the previous version of the Surface Book and Surface Pro 4, as far as dimensions, design or display resolution, and size. The updated Surface Book still features a 13.5 inch PixelSense touch screen display, with Palm Block technology, while the refreshed Surface Pro 4, still sports a 12.3 inch PixelSense 10-point multi-touch display.
1TB of internal SSD storage, 16GB of RAM and the best Intel Core CPU available for Windows 10 tablets, though worthy, comes with a hefty price tag: the high-end version of the Surface Book is priced $3199, while the top-end version of the Surface Pro 4 is priced at $2,699.
Gold Surface Pen
Microsoft has also introduced a new gold color option for the Surface Pen, available in the United States, as well as a number of selected countries, including Canada, Denmark, Finland, Italy, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Spain and Sweden. With this latest addition, the choice of colors for the Surface Pen now includes Silver, Black, Dark Blue and Gold.
The internal specs and design of the stylus, as well as its price, are identical to the existing Surface Pen, featuring the same 1024 levels of pressure sensitivity, as well as the Surface Pen Tip Kit, which allows to pick and install different tips, to customize the writing and drawing experience.
