How many Apple iPad Pro should we expect in 2017?
2017 is going to be a bigger year for Apple than 2015 and 2016 combined. With Apple fully committed to the iPad Pro and Apple TV, not to mention rumors of more Mac announcements underway between this Fall and quarter one of 2017, Apple’s plan to reorganize its product lines is becoming increasingly clear.
Last year, some believed that the iPad Pro was a proof of concept, an experiment to see how the public would react to such an unusual size iPad, but the truth is that Apple knew exactly what it was doing, and had the numbers to back it up.
The 12.0 inch iPad Pro has been nothing short of a success, and consumers, as well as professionals (the actual target audience for the iPad Pro), gave the device the thumb up, and why shouldn’t they?
The 12.9 inch iPad Pro is as close as it gets to an ultraportable laptop, and once it’s set up with a keyboard, it essentially becomes one. With that said, the iPAd Pro is a lot more than that, and it goes without saying that the Pro is in a completely different ballpark than any other non-Pro iPads available right now.
If it weren’t obvious by now, there won’t be an iPad Mini 5, or an iPad Air 3. Apple’s game has stepped into higher processing speeds and battery performance that are quickly matching those of a 4-years-old MacBook Air, and in some cases even a four years old MacBook Pro.
Apple is making a big push with its A-series processors for iOS, and the investment is paying off so well, that rumors are circulating of even more non-standard sized iPad Pros expected to make their appearance as soon as next year.
According to KGI Securities analyst, and Apple’s prognosticator of prognosticators, Ming-Chi Kuo, a 10 .5 inch Apple iPad Pro is in the works. On top of that, most recently, Japanese blogging site MacOtakara has caught wind of an iPad Pro Mini, which, if it were true, would shatter any hope of Apple releasing anymore regular iPads.
Apple has released a very expensive and sophisticated accessory in 2015: the Apple Pencil. This $99.00 gadget is spearheading the charge of the iPad Pro into the market, alongside a new breed of processors with new built-in graphic capabilities that enable iPad owners to do so much more than they ever thought possible, including a whole different quality of casual gaming, and perhaps even VR.
