Apple iPad is key to the success of a mobile MS Office

A mobile Microsoft Office, has been needing a push in the right direction for some time, and it may have found it in the most unlikely of platforms: the Apple iPad.

Microsoft official launch of Microsoft Office for iPad was on March 27th 2014, an event high in expectations from prognosticators.

Since Steve Ballmer’s departure, it seems Microsoft’s lack of vision on the mobile market has left with him, as new CEO Satya Nadella is determined to leverage the company to its full potential.

In the first 46 days since Microsoft Office’s debut into the AppStore, the app has been downloaded over 27 million times, and since early April, the numbers have nearly doubled.

This means big profits for the company, and a boost in popularity on the mobile market. Of course this still poses the question: what is Microsoft doing to boost apps on its own mobile ecosystem? Time will tell, as the new post-Ballmer direction takes effect and Microsoft regains its status as an innovative company as it once was.

The success of Microsoft Office for iPad is due to its simplicity and elegance, which is a trait, we hope, will characterize all future Microsoft mobile apps.

Users have spoken, as they made Microsoft Office for iPad a huge success, and sources reported over 12 Million Office subscriptions sold alongside the staggering number of downloads.
