The numbers are in, and in spite of detractors of Apple AirPods, the company’s brand new wireless earbuds, the accessory has officially outsold every major competitor, including Beats, formerly an Apple acquisition, later sold to music producer Dr. Dre.

According to Statista, Apple airPods lead all competing manufacturers with 26% market share, followed by Beats By Dre at 24.1%, and leaving Bose in third place with a 10.5% market share.
Sony, JayBird, Plantronics, Sennheiser and LG are all left in the dust with single-digits ranging from 7.5%(JayBird), to 2.6%(Sennheiser).
Apple introduced AirPods alongside its latest iPhone model, the iPhone 7, and 7 Plus, and the accessory was received with mixed feelings. On one hand, the quality of AirPods is clearly superior to most, if not all wireless earbuds on the market, not to mention the ability to use Siri.
