Apple’s phasing out of the MacBook Air has officially begun, with Apple removing the 11 inch version of the ultra-thin, aging laptop, leaving only the 13 inch MacBook Air available for purchase.

Controversy aside, the big advantage of replacing all legacy ports with USB Type-C, is tri-fold.
