The Chromebook has officially outgrown its status as the entry-level gimmicky netbook we remember from its first inception, when the super-low price point was its most attractive feature, in a world of premium-sized laptops trying to cater to consumers on a budget.

Taiwan-based market analysis firm KGI Securities has recently received resignation of Ming-Chi Kuo, one of the world’s most prolific and accurate Apple analysts.

The MacBook Air is anything but dead, and it’s expected to make its glorious comeback as the ultimate budget MacBook in 2018, according to multiple sources close to the supply chain. KGI Securities top Apple watchdog Ming-Chi Kuo initially prognosticated an April-June official announcement.

The rumor has been in circulation since November 2017, and the new device codenamed T288, still has no official name, alleged or otherwise, and is expected to feature 8K optic displays, powered by a processor most likely faster than anything Apple has developed so far.
