In the wake of reports of dwindling Thunderbolt display shipments to retailers, Apple has finally released a statement in regard to the aging product, currently the only standalone computer monitor sold by Apple:

There is rumors that Apple might be looking into expanding its list of changes beyond an OLED touch pad, and Touch-ID, by replacing the audio jack with a Lightning port in future Macs.

Owners of pre-2009 MacBooks and iMacs, as well as pre-2010 MacBook Air, MacBook Pro and Mac Pro computers won’t be able to install Apple’s next generation Mac operating system, macOS Sierra, at least officially.

The next Big Mac event could feature a brand new Mac Pro, at least according to one single reference in Apple Mac OS X El Capitan’s internal code, reported by tech blog Pike’s Universum.
