It’s finally happening: Hell is freezing over, pigs fly, and MacBook Pro users will soon unlock Microsoft Outlook using Touch-ID.

The device, cleverly disguised as a stylish touch-enabled hockey puck, and equipped with haptic feedback, allows to access settings typically buried deep within a graphical interface, which considerably speeds up the workflow.

Microsoft is clearly no longer one with an exclusive on gigantic tablets for enterprise, like the Microsoft Surface Hub, a massive 55 to 80 inches touchscreen-enabled PC that runs Windows 10, with live collaboration support through Skype, and a price tag to match.

This morning at 10:00am Eastern time (7:00am Pacific), Microsoft’s own Panos Panay and Phil Spencer, walked the stage in New York City, to introduce a number of product refreshes, as well as completely new accessories, while clearing the air about much of the rumors that have built up towards this event.
