Ads have been sporadically displaying on laptops, tablets and Windows 10 phones, at least as far back as January, during which time, ads of the movie “Minions” made their first appearance to consumers reporting the activity on Twitter and Reddit.

The US Department of Defense is next, with a massive upgrade of almost 4 million PCs. Terry Halvorsen, CIO at the Pentagon has voiced his enthusiasm in favor of the operating system, and commented that DOD employees would benefit from using the operating system at home as well.

With Build 14316, Insiders in the Fast ring have began testing what regular users will get, with the Windows 10 Anniversary Update, to be released this Summer, including the much anticipated integration of Ubuntu Linux, in Windows 10, which enables access to Bash in the command prompt.

Among some of the areas in which Windows 10 is likely to show improvements, involve Cortana integration and pen support, as well as easier setup of Windows 10 on shared computers.
