The integration of Cortana within Windows 10 is not just an attempt at enabling desktop users with the same ability to perform web searches as they would on their phone. When applying Cortana’s ability to search content that is also within the host PC, that’s when the real value of a virtual assistant on a desktop operating system truly shines.

Windows 10 is the best Windows yet. It runs beautifully on older hardware, it has a considerably smaller footprint on hard drives, and it has very low specs requirements, but why should PC users have all the fun?

The official-looking emails, urge consumers to upgrade to Windows 10, using verbiage similar to what’s found on Microsoft’s own website. These emails come with a file attachment disguised as a Windows 10 upgrade tool. In actuality, the attachment contains dangerous ransomware.

According to a recent post by Microsoft senior VP Yusuf Mehdi, within the first 24 hours from Microsoft Windows 10’s official, and very quiet, launch, as many as 14 million Windows 10 devices have been activated.
