We have heard the rumors: the PC is supposed to be dead, but is it “staying” dead? Just like your average action hero, no matter how much rubble covers it, or how big the explosions, (or what kind of sales numbers we see year after year), here it comes, walking away from its doom, unscathed, and from what we have seen at Computex in Taipei, looking better than ever.

Weibo, the Chinese equivalent of Twitter, has been a particularly prolific source of information, this week with new leaked images portraying what some are beginning to believe it might possibly be concept images of the fabled Microsoft Surface Phone.

Asus has also officially unveiled the next generation of Transformer devices, aimed to directly compete with Microsoft’s Surface line of products. Asus Transformer 3, and 3 Pro are among the main products recently introduced, with specs that, as previously mentioned, do pitch the Transformer 3 directly against the Surface Pro 4.

While we don't seem to have much of a problem answering text messages, making phone calls, or sending emails on a wrist watch, would we be doing the same thing with a PC strapped on our backs? What if this PC came equipped with a virtual reality headset, capable of letting us play fully immersive high-end 3D games?
